We came to Broka on our second day in CDMX, and it left such a lasting impression! The prices were great, the vibes were great, and the whole experience felt like discovering a hidden gem. The funny thing is, we didn't realize we were eating early--when we arrived around 7 or 8 PM, the place was completely empty! As we walked in, all 10 sets of eyes from the staff were on us. I almost wished it were packed just to feel the energy, but having the space mostly to ourselves made it such a special and memorable meal. A few other diners trickled in over the course of our time there. Since visiting, I've already recommended Broka to three different groups traveling to CDMX.

Wow what an incredible dining experience! The restaurant itself is gorgeous with high ceilings and beautiful decor. The service was superb! And oh my gosh every dish we tried was delicious. The gnocchi made of plantains blew my mind, and for our entrees we had fish and a quesadilla with shrimp. All so good

Beautiful space and delicious food. Our group stopped here during a Roma walking food tour. We sampled several dishes and everything was well-balanced and outstanding. The presentation was also stunning. We also tried Mexican wine which was a first for most of us. Service was attentive and friendly. Everyone agreed that we would all love to eat here again.

Would give ten stars if I could. Requested that they have wine at the table for when we arrive and they nailed it! From there, the artichoke appetizer was amazing while not too filling, which is the mark of a good app. My girlfriend loved her vegan tacos while my birria tacos were delicious. And lastly, the helado dessert was light but also decadent. Throw in a setting that is to die for and I couldn't recommend this place enough.

A local recommended this spot as one of her favorites. The night we had dinner there were some hits and some misses. Five of us dined and here were the **best things on our table**: DRINKS -"The Mezcanton" mezcal drink was the table favorite, by far. The Mezcal in the drink was Union El Viejo. It brings a smokey, earthly flavor layered to perfectly balanced citrus and sweet. BBQ and citrus is the best description I can think of. It was my favorite drink I had while visiting CDMX. STARTERS "Tostada de Jurel" was a great start to the meal. Good flavors, well balanced. Surprisingly I liked the grasshoppers. If you're going to go home and tell people you tried grasshoppers, this is the dish to try. MAINS -"Risotto Negro con Camarones" was one of the best dishes we ate all trip. I'd order it without hesitation. -"Aguachile" was a ceviche style dish. Very flavorful and fresh ingredients. DESSERT "Tarta de platano con dulce de leche" if you like banana desserts this was outstanding. Best dessert I had in CDMX. **What wasn't good**: Tomato soup was okay. The crouton in the middle was super soggy and the soup needed that contrasting texture. "Torta Ahogada" was bad. They screwed up my order and brought out my soup and sandwich at the same time. They tried to fix it by taking away my sandwich and then brought back the same sauce covered sandwich they served me 15 minutes before and the bread was so soggy it was un-eatable. It was terrible. One of the absolute worst things I had while in CDMX. -The octopus flavor was spot on, the texture was off. It wasn't cooked properly. I'd avoid this dish. -- ** IF ** you order correctly it could be one of the best meals you've ever eaten. June 2021

I ate a lot of really fantastic meals in Mexico City but this was THE BEST. Start with the ambience of the place, stunningly beautiful colonial home. The dining room is in a courtyard under the stars. Then you have to consider the cocktail menu. They had an entire page of gins to choose from! That is a rarity in CAll of the cocktails are made with fresh juices and served ever cold draft ice. I had an old standby, a Collins, and it was perfectly balanced and crisp. We ordered a tuna tostada, a tomato cream soup and the rabbit carnitas. Three classic dishes but all with their own unique flavor. Everything was good but honestly the tomato soup took home the best of the best that night. I'm not even kidding when I say that I was restraining myself from licking the bowl. This place is not to be missed, by locals and tourists a like. A true gem in the culinary crown city of Mexico.
